Nancy Helen Flowers Malone passed away, the morning of Tuesday, July 2, 2019.  Funeral Service:  10 a.m. Monday, July 8, 2019 at First Baptist Church of Weatherford, 221 W. Church St., Weatherford,  76086. Interment:  East Greenwood Cemetery, Weatherford. Nancy Helen Flowers Malone was born March 15, 1937 in Fort Worth.  She attended Arlington Heights High School, and received her Bachelor of Arts Degree from Texas Christian University, with a Minor in English in May of 1959.  Nancy received her Masters of Liberal Arts from Southern Methodist University in August of 1979. Aside from being the best wife, mother, and grandmother to her family, Nancy always believed the biggest impact she could have in life, was to leave an indelible impression on the young minds that she would have an opportunity to instruct as part of her professional teaching career.  From September 1959 to June of 1982, she provided expert tutelage to a myriad of students in the areas of English and World History. From 1982 to 1994, she and her loving husband operated the Ed Malone True Value Hardware Store, north of the square in downtown Weatherford.  Family owned and operated for 80 years, the two served as beacons to the community, dedicating their free time to assist the First Baptist Church of Weatherford, their family, friends, and strangers.  All the while, Nancy taught Sunday School and Vacation Bible School.  Her husband, Frank Edwin Malone passed away in December 1994.  After her husband’s death, Nancy returned to her vocation, teaching at Aledo High School, and serving as an adjunct professor at Weatherford College; however, continued with her community outreach programs, teaching Sunday School and Vacation Bible School at First Baptist Church of Weatherford. Nancy was preceded in death by her parents; and husband, Frank Edwin Malone. Nancy is survived by her brother, John Flowers of Dallas; her two loving daughters, Annette Malone Baker and her husband, John Baker, of Weatherford, and Kelli Malone Whelan and her husband, John Whelan, of Fort Worth; her grandchildren, John Baker, Taylor Baker, and Addison Whelan.  Nancy not only touched the lives of those that she had an opportunity to instruct during the course of her professional career, she left an impression upon which we will always remember her, till the end of time.  She was known by many, but loved by all.
