Lois Joy (Nanny) Foster, 86, passed away Wednesday, April 10, 2019. Graveside Service: 10 a.m. Monday in East Greenwood Cemetery, Weatherford. Visitation: 2 – 4 p.m. Sunday at White’s Funeral Home, 130 Houston Ave., Weatherford 76086. Lois was born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin on April 9, 1933, the daughter of Albert Edward and Margaret Mary Strutz. She was a graduate of Girls’ Trades and Technical High School in Milwaukee. On March 2, 1957, Lois married Ellis Edward Foster in Fort Worth, Texas. The couple was married for 54 years. The first 20 years of their marriage was spent in the Air Force. Lois was proud to be an Air Force wife. One of her favorite places to live was England. They moved to Weatherford in 1972. One of her greatest joys was taking care of children. Lois and Ellis established Foster’s Day Care Center. Thru the years Lois cared for many Weatherford children who called her “Foster”. Lois was an independent lady with a very “Spunky” personality. She is going to be greatly missed. Lois was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Ellis; and sister, Audrey Saunders. Survivors include daughter, Mary Crabb and husband, Bobby, of Weatherford; son, James Foster and wife, Lisa, of Burleson; grandchildren, Jeremy Crabb and wife, Tiffany, of Fort Worth, Dustin Foster and wife, Meg, of Burleson, and Jennifer Crabb of Weatherford; great-grandchildren, Kayden, Makayla, Connor, Berkeley, Kyleigh, Bella, Maci, Chase, and Landon. The family would like to express their deepest gratitude to Holland Lake Nursing Center for the loving care they gave our “Mom” and “Nanny” for so many years.
