Dorothy Mae (Gattis) Taylor, 92, passed away Tuesday, June 8, 2021. Dorothy was born September 25, 1928 in Scranton, TX, daughter of William and Lillie Mae (Brown) Gattis. Visitation: 6:00-8:00 P.M. Friday, June 11 2021 at White’s Funeral Home. Funeral Service: 10:00 A.M. Saturday June 12, 2021 at White’s Chapel of Memories, 130 Houston Ave. Weatherford, Texas 76086. Interment to follow at Memory Gardens of the Valley Memorial Park, 5600 Mineral Wells Highway, Weatherford, Texas 76088. She met and married the love of her life William Austin “Bill” Taylor, and they spent over 50 happy years together. Bill and Dorothy were members of First Methodist Church, and they were active in the Weatherford Volunteer Fire Department, where Bill served as chief for 10 years. Dorothy is preceded in death by her parents; and her husband, Bill Taylor. She is survived by her son, Garry Taylor (Jeanie); grandchildren, Michele Duran (Sean), Aaron Taylor, and Mandy Meshell (Jonathan); great-grandchildren, Taylor, Jake, Maggie, Brooke, Jaxson, and Addison. The Taylor family would also like to remember Dorothy’s Brother-in-Law, Ross Finley, who also passed away on Tuesday, June 8, 2021 in Farmington, New Mexico.
