Command Sergeant Major, Raymond Pate, 76, passed away Thursday, January 7, 2016.
Service: 3:00 P.M. Saturday, January 9, 2016 at Ash Creek Baptist Church.
Interment: Private.
Visitation: 2 to 3 P.M. Saturday at Ash Creek Baptist Church.
Memorials: In lieu of flowers the family suggests you do a random act of kindness for someone.
Raymond Pate was born in Sumter, SC. to Vernon and Antonio Bateman Pate August 7, 1939.
He served in the United States Army 24 years retiring at West Point Military Academy and later working at Fork Union Military Academy in Virginia. Raymond was dedicated to the service, serving world wide. He was a great Christian family man who loved to fish, garden and enjoyed sharing his bounty. A faithful member of Ash Creek Baptist Church and a lifetime member of the VFW of Azle.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Survivors: Wife, Deloris Pate; son, Danny Pate and wife, Monica; daughter, Janet Buccieri and husband, Michael; grandsons, Michael and Christopher Pate; brothers, Rayford Pate and Anthony Pate and wife, Betty.
