Jackie Glenn Summers

Jackie Glenn Summers, 82, beloved husband, father, and grandfather passed away June 19, 2013 in Decatur.Graveside Service: 11:00 A.M. Saturday at Boyd Cemetery, 388 Boyd Cemetery Road, Boyd, TX 76023. Jackie was born May 1, 1031 in Konawa, OK to the late Lewie and Sybil Summers. In December of 1956 he married the love of his life, Jo Greenaway in Ardmore, OK. Jackie was very proud of his service to the United States as a Corporal in the Army during the occupation of Japan, followed by a stint in the US Air Force. He worked many years for Bell Helicopter. Jackie was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Wynona Jean Curtis; and foster parents, Fred and Gertrude Simpson. Survivors: wife, Jo Summers of Boyd; sons, Jeffrey Glenn Summers and wife, Stacey of Decatur, and Jason Todd Summers of Ft. Worth; daughter, Jana Lynn Stack and husband, Chad of Boyd; grandchildren, Chelsi Nicole Summers and Chase Aaron Summers; and several nieces and nephews.
