Merle Dudley Ranspot

BROCK -- Merle Dudley Ranspot, 88, a longtime resident of Brock, passed away Thursday, Nov. 11, 2010, in Weatherford. Funeral: 10 a.m. Monday in White's Chapel of Memories, 130 Houston Ave., Weatherford. Interment: Community Greenwood Cemetery, Weatherford. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. Merle Dudley Ranspot was born Aug. 10, 1922, in Knox City, daughter of the late John William and Frankie Caroline Warren Dudley. She married the late J.T. Ranspot on Aug. 10, 1939, in Weatherford, and they began their life together. Merle was a member of Hiway Church of Christ. Merle was preceded in death by her husband, J.T. Ranspot; daughters, Mary Engebretson and Betty Clepper; son, Lowell Ranspot; granddaughters, Michelle Engebretson and Celene Ranspot; great-grandson, Carson Shockley; and her parents. Survivors: Sons, Jimmie Ranspot and wife, Sue, of Weatherford and Troy Ranspot and wife, Patty, of Lipan; daughter-in-law, Judy Ranspot of Brock; eight grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; one great-great-granddaughter; and a host of loving family and friends.
