Wilma Joanne Pechacek

Wilma Joanne Pechacek was born in Springdale, PA on June 8, 1935. She was born to William Fawcett and Jeanne Orr Holshue. She was preceded in death by her husband, Earnest Pechacek. Mass of Christian Burial: 2:00 p.m. Friday, February 18, 2022 at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, Mineral Wells Visitation: 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. Thursday, February 17, 2022, White’s Funeral Home Mineral Wells Rosary: 7:00 p.m. Thursday, February 17, Whites Funeral Home Mineral Wells Interment: Memory Gardens of the Valley, Weatherford Joanne grew up in Lisbon, Ohio. She got a job with Braniff Airlines and moved to Dallas, Texas. In May of 1958, she met Earnest while square dancing. Six months later they married on November 7, 1958 in Garland, Texas. They spent 62 years happily married raising their family. Joanne enjoyed reading, traveling and gambling with Earnest. Joanne retired from Palo Pinto County Extension/Texas A&M. She was a faithful member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church. She spent her life putting others first and making sure family and friends were taken care of. She is survived by her son, Mike Pechacek and wife, Jane; daughters, Sharon Shepherd and husband, Mitchell, and Margaret Griffith and husband, Bruce; grandchildren, Mark Pechacek, Melanie Pechacek and Mackenzie Pechacek, Tori Shepherd, Tyson Shepherd, Taylor Griffith, Kaitlyn Griffith, Macy Griffith; and great-grandson, Jerahmiah Bishop; and many extended family members and dear friends. The family would like to extend their sincere appreciation to Serenity Estates and Solaris Hospice for their loving care over the past 2 years.
