William White spent his young adult life traveling the world while he served in the U.S. Navy, retiring after 22 years with the rank of Senior Chief Petty Officer. Afterwards he joined the Postal Service where he worked for 20 more years before his final retirement. Since settling in Weatherford during the late 1970’s, he and his wife Katherine were both active members of All Saints Church. Raised in the Smokey Mountains of North Carolina, he was an avid outdoorsman and loved to explore the beaches, mountains, rivers, and grasslands of all 7 states he and his family called home during his time in the Navy. He enjoyed camping, hunting, boating, and fishing with his family, traveling with his wife “Cat” in their RV’s, and true to his Scottish roots, was an avid golfer from the time he caddied as a boy until he could no longer swing a golf club in his later years.
In lieu of flowers, the White family respectfully suggests making a donation in Bill’s name to a charity of your choice.
