William “Bill” Satchell, 89, passed away at home Sunday, June 3, 2018.Graveside Service: 10 a.m. Friday at Woodland Park Cemetery in Mineral Wells. Open Visitation: 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Thursday at White's Funeral Home, 101 N.E. 4th Ave., Mineral Wells, 76067.Bill was born November 21, 1928 in Dallas to Clifton and Tiny Satchell. He served honorably in the U.S. Navy for 4 years and then started his 43 year long career with Rockwell International. He married the love of his life, Nora Moore, and they were together for nearly 60 years until her passing in 2010.Bill was very active in the Boy Scouts and was a member of the Masonic Lodge. He also owned a book shop in Mineral Wells, The Booksatchell, and was a model train enthusiast. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.He was preceded in death by his parents, Clifton and Tiny Satchell; wife, Nora Satchell; daughter, Heidi Satchell; and grandson, Alan Satchell.Survivors: daughter, Susan Satchell of Mineral Wells; sons, William Satchell, Jr. and wife, Belinda, of Allen; grandson, William Joshua Satchell and partner, Nicole Fox, of Lubbock; granddaughter, Elizabeth Satchell and partner, Nicholas Thompson, of Austin; sister-in-law, Jeanette Langton of Enid, Okla.; and a host of loving family and friends.
