Wanita Anguiano, loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, October 5, 2022, surrounded by her family at her home. Rosary will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, October 25, 2022 at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Chapel. Memorial Service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, October 26, 2022 at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church. Memorials: Her family requests that in lieu of flowers and other remembrances, all well-wishers consider a donation to: Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, 108 N. W. 4th Ave., Mineral Wells, Texas 76067. Wanita was born on August 19, 1943 in Los Aldamas, Nuevo Leon, Mexico to Hector and Maria Gonzales. She met and married Jesse Anguiano, the love of her life, and husband of 62 years. Wanita was a devout Catholic, a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church. She was a strong prayer warrior with deep faith. She touched many lives through her simple acts of love, kindness and prayers. She was a member of the Alter Society, Catholic Daughters, Las Guadalupanas, a Lector and Eucharistic Minister. She taught catechism classes and Rosary making classes and served as a Spiritual Director on many ACTS retreats. Wanita enjoyed traveling, watching the Texas Rangers, and was a member of Mineral Wells Women’s Bowling Association. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Tammy Jo Anguiano; parents; and sisters, Alice Gonzales, and Enadelia Gonzales. Wanita, also known as Ah Ah to her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews, great nieces and great nephews is survived by her husband, Jesse Anguiano; her son, Jesse Anguiano, Jr.; her daughter, Diana Benton and husband, Rob; grandchildren, Westin Pedigo and wife, Shelby, Tony Joe Anguiano, and Michelle Sexton and husband, Blaze; great-granddaughters, Berlyn and Macie; brothers, Jesse Gonzales (Sandra), Hector Gonzales (Patty), John Gonzales (Dianne), and Jerry Gonzales (Donna); sisters, Dora Calderon (Victor), Mary Burke (Jim), and Debbie Werts (Todd); many nephews, nieces, great nephews, great nieces, cousins, uncles, aunts and friends.
