Wanetta Mae Vess, 89, passed away Monday, June 29, 2020 with her family by her side.
Graveside Service: 10:00 A.M. Monday, July 6, 2020 at Springtown Cemetery.
Wanetta was born April 17, 1931 in Sayre, Oklahoma to John and Bessie Neely. She married the love of her life, James H. Vess in 1951 in Fort Worth. Wanetta was employed at the Western Cafe for 26 years and worked in childcare for 25 years.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Harlan Vess; son, James H. Vess, Jr.; eleven brothers and sisters; and three grandchildren.
Survivors: Children, John Vess, Pearl Russell, Gordon Vess and Barbara Parker; twelve grandchildren; and 19 great-grandchildren. Wanetta enjoyed quilting, gardening, playing Keno and going out to eat.
She had a zest for life and will be missed by all who knew her.
