Wanda Lorene Waters Carver

Wanda Waters Carver passed away Sunday, January 15, 2023.

 Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, January 19, 2023 at the First Baptist Church of Mineral Wells, 100 SW 4th Ave., Mineral Wells. 

Interment will be later that day at the Springtown Cemetery in a private service for the immediate family. 

Memorials may be made to the First Baptist Church of Mineral Wells.

 Wanda was born on July 9, 1929 to the late William and Ethel (Ashcraft) Waters. She married Keith Phillip Carver on October 8, 1947 and together they raised two children. She was a long-term employee of KMart and retired from there. After her retirement, she took classes, earned her G.E.D., and even took some college classes. Wanda was a long time, active member of First Baptist Church of Mineral Wells. She enjoyed bowling, participating in leagues all her life. Wanda traveled often after her retirement, even living in Germany for a few years.

 She was preceded in death by her husband, Keith Phillip Carver; and her siblings, Mary Alice Gamble, Millie Jean Weaver, Ouida Martin, Raymond Waters and Wayne Waters. 

Survivors include her son, Tommy Keith Carver and wife, Elizabeth; daughter, Peggy Carver Gibson and husband, Shawn; grandchildren, Krista Melissa Carver, Hilary Rae Ince, Taylor Rae McCaig, Israel Aaron Gibson, and Chelsea Rae Gibson; great-grandchildren, Penny Rae McCaig, Cyrus Albert McCaig, and Addison Rae Ince.
