Virginia Kay (Steel) Spencer, 83, passed away peacefully in her Granbury home Sunday, September 21, 2025.
Service: 2:00 P.M. Saturday, September 27, 2025, at The Church at Azle.
Burial: Ash Creek Cemetery, Azle
Virginia was born October 1, 1941, in Fort Worth to GWA Steel and Edna (Sellers) Steel. She was married to Mike Spencer for 45 years; he passed away in December of 2024.
She is survived by children, Robert Daniel (Danny) Brown, Sr. and fiancé, Brenda Barnes, Jeffrey Lynn Brown and Alice Brown Martin and husband, Craig; grandchildren, Robert (Robbie) Daniel Brown, Jr., Jessica Brown, Casey Brown, Aletha Hoffman and Kyle Carter; great-grandchildren, Robert Daniel Brown III and Micah Brown, Sophia Brown, Kyla Cornstubble and Bradley Hoffman; great-great-grandchildren, Ava Brown, Paisley Brown and Harper Brown; sister, Cecelia Fox and husband, Bill; bonus sister-sister-in-law, Margaret Ann Steel; and many nieces and nephews.
She was known for her generosity to others, her love of plants and flowers. Virginia loved to travel especially with her sisters and sisters-in-law, and she would take control over the driving.
Virginia was preceded in death by her husband, Mike Spencer; brothers, Leon Steel and Rusty Steel; sister, Georgia Sullivan ; her bonus sister, Heddy Steel; parents, GWA Steel (Tiny) and mother, Edna Steel.
