Vella Agnes (McWilliams) Blades, 93, passed away Thursday, December 22, 2022 in Weatherford
Funeral Service: 10 a.m. Thursday, January 5, 2023, White’s Chapel of Memories, 130 Houston Ave., Weatherford.
Interment: Memory Gardens of the Valley, 5600 Mineral Wells Hwy., Weatherford.
Memorials: In lieu of flowers the family requests donations in Vella’s memory to the Parkinson Foundation.
Vella was born August 29, 1929 in Celina, Texas, daughter of Roy T. and Maurine (Meachum) McWilliams. Vella was a talented seamstress, and was known for making Roman Shades. She also served as the librarian at SMU Law Library.
She is preceded in death by her parents; and husband, Selby “Rusty” Blades, Jr.
Survivors include her four children, along with their spouses; six grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and three great great-grandchildren.
