Thelma Dean Jones, age 82, passed away July 16, 2022 in Springtown, Texas. Funeral Service: 2:00 p.m., Friday, July 22, 2022 at White’s F.H. Chapel in Springtown. Visitation: 1-2 p.m., Friday, July 22, 2022 at White’s F.H. Chapel in Springtown. Interment: 3:30 p.m., Friday, July 22, 2022 in Springtown Cemetery, Springtown. She was born July 15, 1940 in Marietta, Oklahoma to James E. Gentry and Alta Ramsey Gentry. Thelma worked as a seamstress most of her life. Her favorite hobby was sewing. Oh, how many quilts she made for us! She crocheted so many afghans for us. She loved to cook for us as often as possible and loved all the family being together, as one. She had one of the most generous hearts, making many homemade items and giving them away—never wanting payment for them. Thelma always had the biggest, open heart and arms for love and hugs for everyone. She loved to play bingo and going to the casino. Her favorite foods, even on her last days on earth, were turkey with dressing, homemade biscuits and gravy and chili rellenos. She was preceded in death by her husband, Bobby; her parents; her daughter, Tina Juarez and 3 other children; her grandson, Chad; her brothers, Elbert Gentry, Pete Gentry,Richard Gentry, Donald Peevey and Gerald Peevey. Thelma is survived by a daughter, Chrystal Anderson and husband Tony; a grandson, Johnathan Matthews; 2 granddaughters, Amber and husband Casey and LaTonya and Daniel; 4 great grandaughters, Destiney, Tiffany, Angelina and Alayna; great grandson, Kenneth; great-great granddaughter, Keelie; 3 great-great grandsons, Aziel, Adam and Carson; a sister, Reatha Burt and husband Kenneth and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
