Stella Faye Elam, 96, passed away June 25, 2018, in Springtown, Texas.

 Service:  Funeral Service:  Friday, June 28, 2018, 10 AM at White’s Funeral Chapel – Springtown 

Visitation:  Thursday, June 27, 2018, 6-8 PM, White’s Funeral Chapel-Springtown 

Interment:  Springtown Cemetery

 Stella was born on December 12, 1921, to Walter Ingle and Johnnie Ruth Ingle, nee Thompson, west of Poolville, Texas.  She was married to Barlow Elam in 1938.  He passed away at the age of 84.  Springtown Epigraph published an article January 26, 2006, headlining her as “Pioneer Woman”.  At the age of 84 and a widow, she was still running cattle on 450 acres and continued to do so until her passing.

 She was loved by all and will be greatly missed.   

She was preceded in death by her parents and husband.  

 Survivors include sons, Ed Elam (wife, Olivia) and Joe Elam (wife, Gloria); Granddaughters, Donna Elam of Springtown, Ronda Christian (husband, Martin) of Los Colinas; Grandsons, Jeffrey Allen Elam of Azle, Danny Elam (wife, Kim) of Haslet; Great-grandchildren, Barlow and Ashley and faithful companion, Jerry Pickard.
