Funeral Service: 10 a.m. Saturday, January 2, 2021 at White’s Azle Chapel, 105 Denver Trail, Azle. Private Interment: At a later date at Dallas Fort Worth National Cemetery. Shirley was born in Lansing, Michigan to Vern and Winifred Sexton on June 26, 1936. She lived in Breinigsville, PA. with her husband Edward for 46 years. Shirley worked at Spirax-Sarco in accounting and earned her Associate’s Degree in 1975 at the age of 40. She moved to Texas in 2014. Shirley enjoyed travelling, painting, reading, crossword puzzles, and spending time with family. She was a sweet, loving, tender hearted, caring, faithful person and friend, always putting others first. Shirley was soft spoken yet strong and confident and even took flying lessons. She loved gardening, knitting, sewing and lunches with friends. Shirley loved to prepare for family gatherings and spared no expense. She was generous to all in her life. Shirley is survived by her beloved children, Sherry Weir, Terry Nicholas, and Scott Sladovnik; her eight grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and many loving friends.
