Sheila Pethtel-Lamb, 54, loving mother, daughter, friend and teacher, passed away Tuesday, December 19, 2017. Service: 10 a.m. Friday at White's Funeral Home, 401 N. Main, Springtown, 76082. Interment: 2 p.m. Friday at Callisburg Cemetery in Cooke County. Open Visitation: 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Thursday at White's Funeral Home. Sheila was born October 7, 1963 in Fairfax, Oklahoma. She graduated from Callisburg High School in 1982 and then from there attended Texas Women's University in 1988, obtaining her Bachelor's Degree. She later received her Master's Degree in Education in 2015 from Texas Women's University. She was very involved in the FFA, serving as a state officer in the early 1980s. After graduating from college, she became a dedicated teacher who was constantly trying to better the education system and make a difference in her students' and colleagues' lives. In her spare time, Sheila loved to do crafts, make scrapbooks, go dancing, and spend time with friends and family. She was a hard working and a dedicated teacher who will be greatly missed by all who knew her. Sheila was preceded in death by her father, Tom Pethtel, and her half-brother, Wheeler Roy Pethtel; maternal grandparents, Wilmajean Wagner and Doyal Davis; maternal great-grandmother, Flossie Newton; paternal grandparents, Wheeler E. and Nevada Lea Pethtel. Survivors: children, Paige Pethtel and Robert Peyton Lamb; mother, Jean Pethtel; brother, Mark Pethtel and wife, Lori; niece, Lauren Voight; nephew, Wheeler Pethtel; the love of her life, Mark Flippo; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, other family members
