Please note new service and visitation dates. Sharon Beth Ferguson Dalton, 73, of Weatherford, died peacefully at home surrounded by her family, after multiple courageous battles with cancer. She entered the Kingdom of Heaven on Sunday, February 7, 2021 at 5:45 p.m. Funeral Service: 2 p.m. Tuesday, February 23, 2021 in White’s Chapel of Memories, 130 Houston Ave., Weatherford. Interment: Oakland Cemetery in Weatherford. Sharon was born October 28, 1947 in Waco to Ernest and Ruth Ferguson. She was a graduate of Weatherford High School and earned her Bachelor’s Degree from Tarleton State University in 1992. Sharon worked for over 20 years as an adult education teacher and supervisor for CCCA. She enjoyed her people almost as much as she did her pets. Sharon was a long-time member of First Baptist Church. She was an avid movie buff and loved to read. Sharon will be deeply missed by all who knew her. She was preceded in death by both parents; a brother, Ronald Allen Ferguson; as well as a child, Billy DeWayne Dalton; and her husband, Bill Dalton. Sharon is survived by her children, Debby Dalton Lane and husband, Jim, Steve Dalton and wife, Debbi, and Rocky Dalton, all of Weatherford; four grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
