Sara Bess Byrd

Sara Bess Webb Byrd, 59, beloved mother, grandmother, sister and friend, passed away Friday, January 20, 2023 at her home in Fort Worth. Memorial Service: 10 a.m. Saturday, January 28, 2023 in White’s Chapel of Memories, 130 Houston Ave., Weatherford. Sara was born March 21, 1963 in Fort Worth, daughter of James Truitt and Iva Elizabeth (Baker) Webb. She attended Weatherford High School and was a Weatherford Blue Belle. Sara had her own sandwich shop which she enjoyed very much because she got to fill people’s bellies with her cooking. Sara loved planning parties, going on cruises, and she loved Elvis. She also loved her dogs, Prissy and Jazzy. Sara often went out of her way to help others, even if it impacted her. She was a loving mother and grandmother and her family was the light of her life. She enjoyed baking cookies for her boys and her grandkids. She was preceded in death by her parents; and daughter, Shanna. Sara is survived by her sons, Larry Byrd, Jr. and his wife, Jennifer, James Byrd and his wife, Malissa; her grandkids, Calvin, Jaden, Reagan, and Boston; former husband and friend, Larry Byrd, Sr.; her siblings, Larry Smith, Royce Smith and his wife, Carolyn, Judy Barnes, and Doug and Carolyn Webb; as well as many aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews and many other family members and friends.
