Sandra Kay Souders

Sandra Kay Souders, age 72, a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and cherished friend, passed away peacefully on Sunday, October 12, 2025.

Visitation: 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday, October 26, 2025 at White’s Funeral Home, 130 Houston Ave., Weatherford.

Graveside Service: 10 a.m. Monday, October 27, 2025 at Clark Cemetery, 1300 Friendship Rd., Weatherford.

Born on March 5, 1953, in El Paso, Texas, Sandra was the beloved daughter of Fred and Anne Savage. Her early years were marked by frequent moves both within the United States and abroad, offering her a rich tapestry of life experiences and a broad perspective from a young age.

While attending Penn State University at McKeesport, Sandra met the love of her life, Anthony “Tony” Souders, Sr. Together, they built a life rooted in faith, love, and laughter. After Tony’s service in the Air Force, the couple settled in Texas, a place that became Sandra’s lifelong home. There, they lovingly raised their three sons, instilling in them the same values that defined their marriage.

Sandra’s unwavering faith in the Lord was a guiding light throughout her life. She and Tony taught children’s Sunday School classes for many years at Birdville Baptist Church, nurturing young hearts and minds in their spiritual journeys. Professionally, Sandra served as a dedicated substitute teacher for Birdville ISD, where her warmth, patience, and compassion touched countless lives until her retirement.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Tony; her son, Tracy; her parents, Fred and Anne; and her sister, Cheryl Smith.

Sandra is lovingly remembered by her sons, Anthony Souders, Jr., Douglas Souders, and Michael Souders and his wife, Caitlin; her sisters, Beverly Jones and husband, Wayne, Deborah Savage, and Denise Crawley and husband, David; as well as many grandchildren, nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends.

Sandra’s legacy of kindness, faith, and service will continue to inspire all who were blessed to know her.
