Sandra Jean Foster, 85, went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, on Saturday May 20, 2023 in Springtown, Texas surrounded by her loved ones. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m., Thursday, May 25, 2023 at White’s Funeral Home Chapel in Springtown. Graveside Service: 11:00 a.m., Friday, May 26, 2023 in Mount Olivet Cemetery, 2301 North Sylvania Avenue, Fort Worth. Sandra was born on August 15, 1937 to Jack and Bessie Drake in their living room. She was the only girl of 5 siblings. Her two surviving brothers are Vernon Drake and Jackie Drake. She was preceded in death by her brother, Maurice Drake and her brother, John Drake. Sandra married the love of her life, David Ray Foster on December 23, 1954. They went on to spend 58 years of wedded bliss together. They were the epitome of a happy couple. David preceded her in death in 2013, and she spent every day thereafter longing to be with him again. They had 2 sons together, Jerry and John, and lost a daughter, Dana, shortly after her birth. They lived in Watauga, Texas until 1978 when they bought 40 acres in Agnes and moved to the country! They built a beautiful home and life together, and soon both their sons moved onto the land with them. Sandra was front and center for the birth of everyone of her grandchildren, and was blessed to be able to see all of them grow up alongside her. She was a loving Grandmother and her home was refuge of cookies, cakes, and cuddles! Her home was her palace and she was an amazing housekeeper and cook. She treated her husband like a king and in turn, he loved her with everything in him. Their relationship was an inspiration to everyone who met them. David loved to garden, so, Sandra learned to can and freeze all his vegetables. She also loved making candy at Christmas time and spoiling her grandkids with gifts. Survivors include her sons, Jerry Foster and John Foster. Her grandchildren, are Rachel Spraggins and her husband, Michael , David Foster and his wife, Tracy, Jeff Foster, Kristin King and her husband, Clifford. Her great grandchildren, are Gracey Spraggins, Michelle Ferguson and her husband, Joey, Wyatt Spraggins, Sawyer Spraggins, Abbey-Rose Spraggins, Jesse Spraggins, Archer King, Drew King, and Audrey Foster. Her brothers, Vernon Drake and Jackie Drake.
