Ruth Naomi Smith

Ruth Naomi Smith, 91, passed away in Springtown, Texas, October 4, 2018. 

 She was born July 8, 1927, to Tom and Vida (Koehn) Lewis in Prospect, Texas.

Visitation:  3:00-5:00 PM, Sunday, October 7, 2018, White’s Funeral Chapel 

Interment:  Annis Chapel Cemetery, Springtown, Texas 

Ruth was preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Clinta Webb and Rosanna Tibbets; brother, W. K. Lewis; husband, Dock; son, Kenneth and great-grandson, Mark Eustace. 

She was a loving mother, grandmother, great and great-great grandmother.  Ruth attended schools in Blue Grove and Joy until graduating High School.  She married Dock Alfred Smith, Jr. on August 11, 1945, while he was in the Navy.  Ruth and Dock raised two sons, Larry and Kenneth, in Springtown, Texas.  She owned and taught ceramics in her shop. 

She is survived by her son, Larry and wife, Nancy; grandchildren, Lisa, James, Riley and Jody; eight great-grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren.
