Memorial Service: 2 p.m. Friday, October 21, 2022 in White’s Chapel of Memories, 130 Houston Ave., Weatherford. He was born October 17, 1962 to Donald Williams and Mildred (Wolcott) Williams in New Jersey. After moving around with his military family, they settled in his dad’s home state of Arkansas. He graduated from Bryant High School in 1981 where he met his future wife, Darline Huss. They moved their family to Texas in 1994 so he could enroll into Southwest Seminary in Fort Worth after being called into the ministry. After completing his degree in Theology, he became a pastor at Patillo Baptist Church and then in 1999 he founded Discovery Fellowship in Weatherford where he was the Senior Pastor. Russell also had a successful career in sales that spanned over 40 years. Russell had a deep love for Jesus and for sharing God’s word to others. He was the proudest father to his three daughters, and beamed with pride and joy for his five grandchildren, and was thrilled for the one on the way. He would love to show endless photos of all of them any chance he could. He was always the ultimate host, loved following Razorback sports, and a huge fan of the music of the Randy Rogers Band. Russell said his most fulfilling life events were his salvation, his daughters and grandchildren, and sharing Jesus to others while leaving a legacy of a servant’s heart. In early 2000, Russell was diagnosed and suffered from Double Depressive Disorder and fought a long hard battle which ultimately led to his passing. He is finally at peace in his heavenly Father’s arms and we will grieve his absence until we are reunited again one day. Russell was preceded in death by his parents; his brother, Jimmy Williams; and his sister, Louise McCollum. He leaves behind his daughters, Terrah White and her husband, Casey, Tarryn Reagan and her husband, Shae, and Tarissa Williams; his granddaughters, Emry and Cambry; his grandsons, Cove, Doak, and Drae, and the precious grandchild that is on the way; his sisters, Darlene Ockerman and her husband, Dave, and Gloria McMillen and her husband, Terry; his brothers, Ron Hall and his wife, Alma, and Perry Williams; as well as numerous nieces and nephews, along with a multitude of friends, as Russell loved people and they loved him.
