On August 7, Thursday, we honor and celebrate the beautiful life of Rosa Elia Pegueros, affectionately known to many as Rosy.
Born on June 26, 1989, as Rosa Elia Macias, she brought warmth, laughter, and light into every space she entered. She went home to be with the Lord on August 1, 2025, leaving behind a legacy of unwavering faith, compassion, and love.
Rosy was a devoted daughter, sister, wife, mother, and friend. She is survived by her beloved husband, Ismael Pegueros, and their precious daughter, Priscila Rose, who was the joy and light of her life. She is also deeply missed by her loving parents, Maria Ana Rosa and Isaias Macias, as well as her brothers, Isaias and Daniel Macias. All who knew her were touched by her fierce love, generous spirit, and steady presence.
From a young age, Rosy displayed a heart full of kindness, selflessness, and deep reverence for God. At just 13 years old, she gave her life to Christ—a commitment she honored faithfully throughout the rest of her life. She served passionately on the church praise team for many years, using her voice as an offering of worship to the Lord she loved so deeply. One of her favorite songs, “The Goodness of God,” was the final song she sang in church—a powerful and fitting testimony of the life she lived.
Rosy embodied her faith not only through music, but through action. She served her community as a medical assistant in a family clinic, where her care extended beyond physical needs—she offered emotional support, spiritual encouragement, and grace to everyone she encountered. Her work was her ministry.
She was also a gifted creative, expressing her artistic talents through her small business, R.P. Designs, where she joyfully crafted custom hats, shirts, and cups. For Rosy, creating was never just about the product—it was about giving, encouraging, and brightening someone’s day.
Rosy also served briefly on the Piedras Preciosas District Women’s Board, a role she stepped away from to care for her mother’s health—an act that reflected her selfless character and unwavering devotion to family.
One treasured memory among many is the time she coordinated a full family trip to Panama City Beach,Florida—a rare and joyous occasion filled with laughter, bonding, and moments that will live on in the hearts of her loved ones. This gesture reflected who Rosy truly was: someone who found her own joy in the joy of others.
Through every season—whether in joy or in challenge—Rosy remained a living testimony of God’s goodness. She never complained, even in difficulty. Gratitude and praise were always on her lips.
Rosa Elia Pegueros was, and will remain, a shining example of love, faith, and grace. Though her absence leaves a deep void in our hearts, her legacy continues in every life she touched and every soul she inspired. She was the joy of our home, the light of every room, and a faithful servant of the Lord.
