Ronald Harold Westendorf, 81, of Fort Worth, Texas, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, June 30, 2026, following a six-year battle with metastatic prostate cancer.
Born on February 11, 1945, in Kingsville, Texas, Ron was a devoted husband, father, veteran, accountant, and faithful Catholic. He graduated from Eastern Illinois University, served honorably in the United States Army Reserve, and retired after nearly twenty years as controller of St. Stephen Catholic Church in Weatherford.
Ron shared 55 wonderful years of marriage with his beloved wife, Bobbi. He was a devoted father to Brian, never missing his son's sporting events from childhood through college. Ron loved restoring classic cars and Cushman scooters, boating, camping, traveling, and cheering on the Texas Longhorns. He could fix almost anything, remained positive through life's challenges, and was known for laughing at his own jokes. His kindness and gentle spirit will be remembered by all who knew him.
Ron was preceded in death by his parents, Harold and Lorena Westendorf; and his brother, Greg Westendorf.
He is survived by his wife, Bobbi Westendorf; his son, Brian Westendorf; his sister, Judy Myers (Alan); his nephew, Jonathan Myers; his sister-in-law, Linda Westendorf; and his niece, Amy Davis.
