Ronald Carrol McNutt, 79, of Weatherford, Texas passed away on Tuesday, June 17, 2025.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, June 27, 2025 at 4 p.m. at Friendship Baptist Church, 801 Friendship Road, Weatherford, with Reverend Mike Williams officiating. Military Honors will be conducted by the United States Army Honor Guard.

Ronnie was born October 26, 1945 in Weatherford, Texas, the son of Officer R.E. McNutt and his wife, Mary Gravely. He graduated from Weatherford High School in 1964. He then joined the United States Army, serving from 1966 until he was honorably discharged in 1970. Upon leaving the United States Army, Ronnie began working for the Santa Fe Railroad, retiring in 2004.

Ronnie married Brenda Joyce Latham on June 5, 1965, and they spent 52 wonderful years together. They were blessed with two sons, Ronald Carrol McNutt, Jr. on February 20, 1972, and Timothy Ryan McNutt on June 23, 1983.

Ronnie was a prominent member of Friendship Baptist Church of Weatherford. He served as a Deacon, Sunday School Director, a member of the choir, and a founding member of the food pantry, where he served faithfully every week.

Ronnie was preceded in death by his wife, Brenda Latham; son, Ronald Carrol McNutt, Jr.; parents, R.E. McNutt and Mary Gravely; and his brother, Bailey McNutt.

Remaining to cherish Ronnie’s memory are his son, Timothy McNutt and his wife, Cassie, of Hudson Oaks; grandson, Jayce Nixon of Canyon; granddaughter, Emma McNutt of Mansfield; brother, Charles McNutt and his wife, Connie of Weatherford; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins who loved him.
