Ronald James Hawkins

April 1, 1955 — December 27, 2021

Ronald James Hawkins was born April 1st, 1955 in Jonesboro, AR. After living a full life of family time, camping, beer drinking, and enjoying good music, he went to his heavenly home on December 27th, 2021. Ron married the love of his life, Karen, on November 25th, 1989 and he spent the rest of his days with her. He had a successful 31 years at Lockheed Martin as a computer software engineer. Ron enjoyed all things camo and got a big kick out of watching his kids play sports, his grandbabies join the crew, and spending time with his wife of 32 years on their walkabouts in the camper. From listening to the blues to tinkering in the shop, he was truly a jack of all trades. With a rough outside and warm fuzzy inside, he was so loved by all who knew him. He had a heart of gold that was coated with wisdom, grit, understanding, humor, and love. He was your home. Your confidant. Your advisor. Your shoulder to cry on. Your beer buddy. Above all, he was our best friend. He accomplished so much in the time he was here. Ron’s legacy will live on far longer than his 66 years. The man, the myth, the legend will live on in our memories, stories, and in each beer we crack open. Ronnie was preceded in death by his father, James Thomas Hawkins; and sisters, Cindy and Alisa Hawkins. He is survived by his wife, Karen; children, Dillon (Tory), Sarah (AJ), and Matthew; grandkids, Hadley, Hollace, and Russell; his mother, Judith Ann Hawkins; step-mother, Paula Hawkins; and sister, Ginger Hawkins Davis.
