Roger Mervin Waters

Roger Waters, 85, passed away peacefully on Thursday, April 23, 2026.

Roger was born on December 4, 1940, in Bottineau, North Dakota to Leland and Laura Waters. He proudly served in the United States Navy as an aircraft mechanic from 1961 until his honorable discharge in 1966.

After his military service, Roger worked for Boeing Aircraft in Washington before relocating to Texas in 1975. He dedicated more than 25 years of hard work and service to Upham Oil and Gas, where he built lasting friendships and earned the respect of many colleagues.

Roger was preceded in death by his father, Leland Waters; his mother, Laura Waters; his sisters, Virginia Brandt, and Janine Hubner; and his daughter, Shelley Waters.

He is survived by his brother, Delmer Waters; his son, Stephen Waters and wife, Lenna; his daughter, Diane Salinas and husband, Chris; two grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and numerous extended family members and dear friends who will cherish his memory.

Roger will be remembered for his dedication to his family, his strong work ethic, and the many lives he touched throughout his years. His memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
