Roger Dale Huebner

Roger Dale Huebner, 71, passed away Monday, July 25, 2022 in Weatherford. 

Graveside Service: 10 AM Friday, September 2, 2022 at Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery, 2000 Mountain Creek Pkwy., Dallas.

 Roger was born July 15, 1951 in Clinton, IA, son of Earl John Henry Huebner and Beverly (Kook) Huebner. In high school he was an athlete, both running track and as a part of the wrestling team. Roger proudly and bravely served his country in the United States Army, rising to the rank of Staff Sergeant. He served two enlistments, one from 1973 to 1976 and the second from 1986-1993, serving in the Persian Gulf. During his service he was awarded the National Defense Service Medal, Good Conduct Medal, Army Service Ribbon, and Expert Rifle award. Following his military service, Roger was an active member of American Legion Post 163.

 Roger was an avid sports fan, and his favorite team was the Iowa Hawkeyes. He also enjoyed playing golf, and visiting family. 

He is preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Mary Earlene Heubner Goddard, and Rhonda Renee Huebner Bailey; and one granddaughter, MacKenzie Elizabeth Selmon. Survivors include his children, Roger Reed (Darcey Jansen), Jason Huebner (Veronica Molina), and Lauren Selmon (Christopher); five grandchildren, Tyler, Zach, Tiffany, William, and Riley; siblings, Elaine Karen Huebner Gottschalk (Dennis), E. Bradley Huebner (Irma), and Nancy Ann Huebner Ghizzone (Tony); and a host of extended family members and friends.
