Rodney Dean Thompson

Rodney Dean Thompson, 78, passed away on October 28, 2021. 

He dedicated his life to treating people well. He valued education, working hard, and doing the right thing. As a young man he served his country. An engineer by trade, he later owned and operated a successful business. 

He will be missed and remembered by all of his family, including his wife of 54 years, Gayle. He was always proud of his children, Casey Thompson and wife Christie, and Adrian Hinckley and husband Richard, and the families they have built. During his life, he was known by many names, but his favorite was always “Granddaddy”. His five grandchildren were well-loved, kept close by, and gave him an excuse to act like a child again. He loved them tremendously. Shane (21), Levi (13), Claire (9), Luke (6) and Micah (6) all loved him just as much. 

There will be a service honoring his life at First United Methodist Church located at 301 South Main, Weatherford, TX 76086 on November 11, 2021, at 11am.
