Robin Royce Cooper, 60, passed away December 16, 2020, in Fort Worth, Texas.
He was born January 31, 1960, in Abilene, Texas, to Larry Joe Cooper and Mary Ann (Walls) Cooper, of Springtown, Texas.
Services: Lying in State 8 AM – 6 PM, Monday, December 21, 2020, with Visitation with family 6-8 PM at White’s Funeral Chapel, Springtown, Texas
Graveside 2 PM, Tuesday, December 22, 2020, at Oklahoma Lane Cemetery, Farwell, Texas
Royce graduated from Springtown High School, Class of ’78, where he served as the Band Director. He went on to enjoy an accomplished career in music, as pianist, Musical Director, band leader, accompanist, and teacher. He performed in a wide range of venues and formed several girl groups, through whom he could express his life lifelong passion for The Andrews Sisters, big band music, girl groups of the 50’s and 60’s, and country-western music. He was an avid collector of all things Andrews Sisters, and maintained an impressive collection of vintage music recordings, videos and rare memorabilia. He was a beloved son, brother and uncle.
Royce was preceded in death by his brother, Christopher Cary Cooper in 2005.
He is survived by his parents, nephews, Benjamin Bradley Cooper, Ryan Reeves Cooper and Neal Nolan Cooper, and many friends and family.
