Robert Steven Weyman, Sr.

July 15, 1955 — October 13, 2025

Weatherford, Texas

Robert Weyman, 70, passed away on October 13, 2025, after suffering several years of illnesses.

Robert was born on July 15, 1955 to Harold and Shirley Weyman in Lompoc, California. He was the baby of three boys raised in a dedicated Military family. As an Army brat he loved the fact that he was blessed to live in so many places including California, Pennsylvania, France, Germany, Washington, and Hawaii before the family settled in El Paso, Texas. He completed junior high and high school in El Paso and moved on to college at SMU where he played football and earned his bachelor’s degree from the Cox School of Business. He later earned his Master of Education from The University of North Texas.

Working in the west Texas oilfields in 1984, he met and married the love of his life, Jessica Lewis. They were engaged two weeks later, married six months later, and celebrated 41 years together this year.

After leaving the oil field and obtaining his masters, he went into public education as a teacher, coach, and administrator. He worked in many school districts in the state and influenced many students, teachers, and parents along the way. He received many achievements, but one of his most rewarding was Region 15 Middle School Principal of the Year in 2018. He retired from public education in 2019.

After retirement, he and Jessica loaded their RV to enjoy a life of Workkamping. Robert fell ill so their plans were postponed until he was diagnosed with Myasthenia Gravis. Once that was under control they traveled to Cody, Wyoming, where they worked for Blair Hotels. Robert loved the adventure and met so many people including a young man named TJ who told him prior to their departure that he could not believe that he had made a best friend with a 65-year-old man. After they finished their first Workkamp term, they returned to Texas for medical needs and treatment. Robert suffered an MG flare up, went into crisis, and suffered many complications since.

Robert was preceded in death by his parents; brother; and daughter.

Per his wishes we will, “have a cremation and a party!” We will celebrate him at Ol’ South Pancake House. 1509 South University Drive, Fort Worth, Texas starting at 4:00 p.m. on October 25th, 2025. This was one of his and Trilece’s favorite places to eat. We can visit, laugh, cry, and definitely have some dutch babies.
