He spent 46 years in the oil exploration business and started his own company called Seis-Tech. Rob traveled to 23 countries in his line of work and was very proud to have seen the world. He loved spending quality family time gathered around the table with homemade meals, and tinkering on various “projects” he would find for himself. Rob had a passion and the knowhow for everything mechanical. He spent his years enjoying fishing, boating and fast cars. He also had a love for “picking around” on his guitar and playing us “little diddys” from time to time. Rob loved his sports, mainly football and baseball, and he would never miss an opportunity to watch a “sports game.” Grandad/Papa loved hearing about and watching his grandsons playing football and baseball. He was very proud of every tackle and every homerun. Rob was always the light in the room. He had the charm, wit and humor that made him enjoyable and approachable to anyone he met. He always had a great joke, but never had an enemy. His wisdom and love will be missed by all that met him. Rob is preceded in death by his parents, O. B. Hinson and Anna Rainwater Hinson; wife, Darlene Hinson; brother, Dean Hinson; and sisters, Margret Hinson, Mary Hinson-Frye and Sue (Hinson) Alexander.
