Rickey Wayne Solkema, 65, beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother and friend passed away Sunday, December 19, 2021. Memorial Visitation: 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. Sunday, January 9, 2022 in White’s Chapel of Memories, 130 Houston Ave., Weatherford. Rickey was born December 25, 1955 in Dallas, son of Arthur Gerald Solkema, Jr. and Wanda Jean Nobbins Solkema. He was preceded in death by his mother, Wanda Dobbins Solkema; father, Arthur Gerald Solkema; and sister, Melody Wilhite. Survivors: Wife, Paula Solkema; children, Daven-Christopher Solkema, Bryan Solkema and wife, Justine, Mikki Leigh Sanders, and Jennifer Mask and husband, Jason; grandsons, Joshua McNeese, Alexander Howard, Jacob Howard, Alexander Solkema, Ryker Lee Solkema, and Bruce Alois Sanders; granddaughters, AnnaLee Mask, and Jayden Leigh Rayne Sanders; great-grandchildren, Bryan Howard, Anthony Howard, and Stacy McNeese; brother, Gary Solkema and wife, Robin; ex-wife, Pamela Burks Solkema; and several cousins and in-laws.
