Richard Keith Wood, age 71, of Odessa, Texas, passed away on Friday, August 1, 2025 in Weatherford, Texas.

Born on May 23, 1954, in Notrees, Texas, Richard was the cherished son of Troy Wood and Doris McCollum. He grew up with a deep appreciation for family, hard work, and simple joys—values that shaped his life and the lives of those around him.

Richard was a devoted husband to YiSun, with whom he shared a life filled with love, resilience, and partnership. He was a proud father to Chris Wood, Lance Mohesky (wife Nancy), Melissa Givens (husband Joseph), and Jennifer Hernandez (husband Pedro). His role as Grandpa was one he treasured deeply, and he poured his heart into the lives of his grandchildren: Christian, Logan, Maura, Sophia, Madelyn, Chase, Pedro III, Thomas, and Emily.

He will be remembered for his steady presence, generous heart, and unwavering commitment to his family. Whether through a kind word or a helping hand, Richard left a lasting mark on all who knew him.

A memorial service to celebrate Richard’s life will be held on Saturday, August 9, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. at White’s Funeral Home, 130 Houston Ave., Weatherford, TX 76086. All family and friends are welcome to attend and share in remembering a man who was deeply loved and will be forever missed.
