Richard Lee Smith

Richard Smith, 75, passed away on Saturday, February 26, 2022 at his home in Azle. Richard was born August 7, 1946 to Willie Kay and Ollie Reed Smith in Van Buren, Arkansas. He was raised in Fellows, California. Richard graduated from Taft Union High School in Taft, California where he later raised his family. Richard honorably served his country during the Vietnam War in United States Navy. He loved auto racing, playing cards and singing Karaoke. Richard was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Harold K. Smith; and sister, Patsy Lowery. He is survived by sons, Richard L. Smith, Jr. and wife, Dee and Robert Smith and wife, Malissa; daughters, Lori Bleigh and husband, Frank and Brandy Boerger and husband, Duane; eight grandchildren; five great-grandchildren and two more on the way; and many nieces and nephews. Over the years, Richard has touched many lives, and he will be missed by all who knew him.
