Richard (Rick) Lynn Heard was born to Larry and Ann Heard on December 17, 1961 in Abilene, Texas. The Lord called Rick to his eternal home on October 17, 2021 at his home in Weatherford, Texas. He lived a full and happy life for 59 years. Rick and his wife, Karen Dickson Heard, spent 11 wonderful years together. He worked for Citi Group for 28 years. Through Citi Group, he managed offices in several Texas cities. He often traveled overseas for Citi Group making many friends among his co-workers, in the US and in India. He loved the Lord, becoming a believer in Jesus at age 12, and joined the First Baptist Church in Idalou. He continued steadfast in his faith for the rest of his years. Rick enjoyed running marathons, playing the bass guitar, scuba diving and cooking. He has become well-known to many for his Facebook “Dad Joke Fridays” posts. Rick made lifelong friends in Idalou High; Angelo State University; his Citi Group co-workers; members of the various Team in Training groups which he coached (and where he met his wife Karen); along with the monthly Chop Challenge cooking crew.
