With heavy hearts, we bid farewell to Reverend Andrew F.L. Bradley, a pillar of intellect, wit, and compassion in the community. Reverend Bradley passed away peacefully on Tuesday April 9th surrounded by his loving family, leaving behind a legacy of wisdom, kindness, and laughter.


 Born in Germany at the end of the Second World War to Lieutenant Colonel Paul and Barbara Bradley. Graduating from Virginia Military Institute in 1968 Reverend Bradley’s journey led him to the priesthood where he served for almost three decades. Reverend Bradley served as rector at Church of the Good Shepherd in Brownwood Texas for 20 years. Reverend Bradley most recently served as Vicar at Holy Trinity Eastland and Priest at St. Peter’s by the Lake. His sermons were not only enlightening but also sprinkled with his trademark wit, captivating congregations and sparking introspection.

 

Reverend Bradley was a devoted husband, step-father, uncle, and friend. His warmth and humor brought joy to all who knew him, and his guidance touched countless lives. Whether through counseling sessions, community outreach, or simply sharing a laugh, he exemplified the essence of empathy and understanding.

  

Reverend Bradley is survived by his wife, Susan Bradley; sister, Sarah Koch; Daughters, Jennifer Lembcke (Jeff) and Stacey Albertson (Mike); nephew, Brad Nies (Laura) and their children, Payton and AJ; nephew, John Nies (Kristin) and their children, Kaya, Joshua, Nola and Louis; grandchildren, Paul Lembcke (Kathleen), Alyson Lembcke, Kristen Albertson-Bird (Matt) and Michael Albertson (Ann); great Grandchildren, Madison Lembcke, James Lembcke and Mathias Albertson-Bird.

 

As we mourn his passing, let us celebrate the remarkable life of Reverend Bradley. May his spirit of compassion, intellect, and humor continue to inspire us all. Though he may have departed from this world, his legacy of love and wisdom will endure eternally in our hearts.

 

A celebration of Reverend Bradley’s life will be held on Saturday, April 20, 2024 at 11:00 am, St. Vincent’s Cathedral Anglican Church 1300 Forest Ridge Dr. Bedford TX 76022. Reception to follow at the church.
