REGINALD (“REGGIE”) LUC BOUTHILLIER, SR. Reginald (“Reggie”) Luc Bouthillier, Sr., 85, of Springtown, Texas, passed away on Sunday, July 9, 2023. He is survived by his wife, Rayma Bouthillier; brother, Claude Bouthillier (and wife, Doris); sisters, Georgette Zukoski and Ellen Hughes (and husband Irving); sons, Reggie Bouthillier, Jr. (and wife, Michelle), Joe Bouthillier, and Jeff Bouthillier (and wife, Jessica); stepsons, Dwight Belt (and wife, Sandy), Douglas Belt (and wife, Janice); Dean Belt (and wife, Dianna); stepdaughter, Starla Snider (and husband, James); grandchildren, Brittny, Krysten, Tyler, Katelyn, Hudson, Sydney, Lisette, Luc, Rayma, Felicia, Montana, Robin, James, Lucas, Samuel, Kalae, Devon, Deliah, Derek, Dillen, Madelyn, Sarah, Lily, Anthony and Jeff; great grandchildren, Messer, Jaidyn, Andrew, Cecilia, Bobby, Makenna, Kylia, Charlie, Samuel, Madison, Ashlynn and Zeke. Reggie, Sr. was born on February 6, 1938 in Sainte-Edwidge, Quebec, Canada to Omer and Anne Marie Bouthillier. He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Bertrand, Gerard, Marcel, John and Robert; and sister, Gisele. His brother, Real passed away on July 20, 2023. Reggie was a devoted Catholic and grew up on a farm in a large Catholic, French Canadian family. He attended Catholic seminary high school and graduated in 1955 from the Oblate Seminary in Bucksport, Maine. Reggie would eventually become a U.S. citizen, and after completing high school he served in the United States Air Force. His career after the Air Force was centered in the aerospace industry where he continued to serve our country through his work in the private sector. Reggie’s career was spent primarily with Honeywell where he worked in the Space Shuttle program, and later, under top military clearance, the Stealth F117 Nighthawk program. After retiring from Honeywell, he continued his military clearance working with Raytheon until his final retirement. Reggie was a devoted husband, and loved and cared deeply for his wife, Rayma. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, and loved to be outdoors, especially working with his hands in the yard, the house, on cars and anything mechanical. He was known for his kindness, humility, and a down-to-earth, caring personality. He was a member of St. Stephen Catholic Church in Weatherford where he was engaged in several ministries before his health declined, including Knights of Columbus and That Man Is You! (TMIY). He also belonged to, and participated in, many Catholic organizations and charities. He embraced his own passing with tremendous faith and confidence that he would join our God, his family, and friends in heaven. Reggie will be deeply missed by his family and friends. Reggie’s life will be celebrated on Saturday, August 5, 2023 at St. Stephen Catholic Church, 1802 Bethel Rd. Weatherford, TX 76086. Reggie embraced and enjoyed praying the rosary so his celebration of life will begin with a rosary at 10:30 a.m. A Memorial Mass will begin at 11:00 a.m. followed by his Inurnment at Memory Gardens of the Valley, 5600 Wells Highway, Weatherford, TX 76088. After the Inurnment, a reception will be held at St. Stephen Catholic Church Holy Spirit Community Center. In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting gifts be made in Reggie’s memory to either That Man Is You!
