Rebecca Lynn Avant

Rebecca Lynn Avant, 57 years of age, passed away, September 8, 2021, in Azle. Graveside Service: 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, September 14, 2021, at Springtown Cemetery. Visitation: Monday, September 13, 2021, 6 to 8 p.m. at White’s Chapel in Springtown. She was born on October 7, 1963 to Normie Matheny and Wilma Reavis. She grew up in Fort Worth and Springtown and chose Springtown as home and raised her two daughters, Sabrina and Crystal. She loved her family very much and was proud of her two daughters. Rebecca was preceded in death by her parents, Normie and Wilma Matheny and nephew, Christopher Strickland. She is survived by her daughters, Sabrina Overholt and husband, Ben, Crystal Stewart and husband David; her sister, Teresa Strickland and husband, Tim; grandchildren, Brynleigh Hollis, Dylan Stewart, and Benjamin, Dawsyn and Layne Overholt; her niece, Jenifer Law and nephew Matthew Strickland, their families, and numerous cousins. She loved and was loved and will be missed by all who knew her.
