Randal Wayne Peck

November 14, 1968 — July 1, 2021

Randal Wayne Peck, age 52, of Granbury, passed away Thursday, July 1, 2021, due to a drilling accident. Funeral Service: 2 p.m. Wednesday, July 7, 2021 at The Church in Peaster, 8601 FM 920, Peaster 76485. Visitation: 6 – 8 p.m. Tuesday, July 6, 2021 at the church. Randal was a second generation water well driller. He owned and operated Peck’s Water Well Service and Drilling company. He had lived in Parker County all of his life until his recent move to Granbury. Randal was born November 14, 1968 in Weatherford. On April 6, 1990, he married his sweetheart and started a new chapter in his life. Now here are Donna’s words to pay tribute to their lives: I am beyond devastated as he was the love of my life. We lived a love story that could be written about in books. He treated me like a queen. He actually worshiped the ground I walked on just as I worshiped the ground he walked on. He was such a loving and tender husband and wonderful provider, the best father to our kids, the coolest PeePaw and a friend to everyone he met. He had so much love in his heart. He was such a happy soul and we laughed so much that people would think we were crazy. We were only 1 ½ years away from buying a catamaran and sailing the world. One year ago today we moved into our new house we built on Lake Granbury. We had so many plans but as we know, we are never guaranteed tomorrow. He was a Jesus loving, God fearing and Holy Spirit filled Christian and he loved our church. We taught our kids how a marriage should be with Christ as the center point of our life and marriage. He taught them so much about hard work and so many other things by living such an exemplary life. The road is going to be very rough for us as we navigate this new life ahead. I have comfort knowing that his last breath on earth was his first in heaven and I will see him again one day. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, B M “Doc” and Evelyn Grimes. Randal is survived by his wife of 31 years, Donna Sue Peck; daughter, Gracie Peck of Chapin, South Carolina; son, Zane Peck of Weatherford; granddaughter, Paislee Peck of Weatherford; parents, Larry and Brenda Peck, of Weatherford; sister, Chrystal Nichols and husband, Len; in-laws, R. C. and Sharon Southern Karnes; brother-in-law, Travis Southern; sister-in-law, Deana Embry and husband, Jerry; nephews, Cade Smith, Cody Baker and wife, Ashley and their son, Kyler, and Cory Baker and wife, Jessica; nieces, Sunny and Ellie Southern; and special friends, Quinn Frontz and Alan Richards, and Shae Murphy; and many extended family members and friends.
