Phillip Thomas Duke, 77, passed away on Thursday, July 2, 2026.

Graveside Service: 10:15am, Thursday 7/30 at Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery, 2000 Mountain Creek Pkwy. in Dallas, TX.

Phillip was born on January 10, 1949, in Fort Worth, Texas, to Jessie Phillip Duke and Winona Faye (Thomas) Duke. He was raised in Hurst, Texas, where he attended L.D. Bell High School.

Phillip proudly served his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. During his service, he earned numerous decorations, including the Bronze Star Medal, Air Medal, Army Commendation Medal with "V" Device and Oak Leaf Cluster, National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal, and Vietnam Campaign Medal, reflecting his courage and dedication to his fellow soldiers.

After returning home, Phillip became a business owner and developed a reputation as someone who could fix just about anything with a motor. Whether it was a car, truck, motorcycle, lawn mower, or another engine, family and friends knew he had the knowledge and determination to get it running again.

Phillip had a deep love for his country, a special place in his heart for dogs, and was known for his generous spirit. He possessed a kind heart, was always willing to lend a helping hand, and was loved by many whose lives he touched.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Jessie Phillip Duke and Winona Faye (Thomas) Duke, and his brother, Charles Duke.

Phillip is survived by his brother, Daniel Duke; his daughter, Angela Schroeder; his niece, Brittany Duke; his nephew, Carl Duke; along with other extended family members and friends who will cherish his memory.
