Pauline Gudbjartsson, 102, beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and aunt, passed away on Wednesday, July 6, 2022. Funeral Service: 11 a.m. Saturday, July 16, 2022 in White’s Funeral Home Chapel, 101 N. E. 4th Ave., Mineral Wells. Visitation: 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. Saturday prior to the service at the funeral home. Interment: McAdams Cemetery. Pauline was born at home on December 20, 1919, in Mineral Wells, Texas, daughter of Harvey and Esther Sims. The story is that her parents gave the doctor a horse collar in payment for her delivery. After graduating from high school in Wichita Falls, she attended Draughon's Business School. While employed as a bookkeeper at a car dealership, she met her loving husband, Heinrek, while delivering his paycheck at the same company. They were married on December 16, 1950 and spent 65 blessed years together. Pauline loved to travel and especially loved her trips to Iceland. She also loved camping, gardening and holidays. Her greatest love was the love she had for her family. Her grandchildren fondly remember watching movies, making jewelry, eating junk food, singing songs, telling stories and getting thoroughly spoiled while spending the night at "Amma and Afi's" house. She was preceded in death by her parents; her infant son, Mark; her siblings, Olga Murphy, Snooks Baker, and Harvey Sims; and her precious husband, Heinrek. She is survived by her son, Steve and wife Janet; daughter, Lisa and husband Brad; grandchildren, Angie Masters (Todd), Lovisa Scott (Rob), Jon-Mark Williams, Katie Herweck (Josh), and Lauren Friesenhahn (Robert); as well as 15 great-grandchildren; and many other greatly loved nieces and nephews and family members.
