Patti Sue Coggeshall

Patti Sue Coggeshall, age 92, of Weatherford, Texas, passed away peacefully on June 22, 2026, leaving behind a family who adored her and a void no one else could ever fill.

Born Patti Sue Kelly on December 13, 1933, in Robinson, Illinois, to Arthur and Mary Kelly, she grew up in Clarkswood, TX. Patti grew into a woman of faith, sharp wit, and unmistakable style. On November 17, 1954, she married Kenneth Coggeshall in New Bern, NC, and together they built a home full of love and laughter, settling in Irving, TX.

A devoted homemaker and accomplished seamstress, Patti poured her creativity and care into everything she made — and everyone she loved. She had a biting wit that kept her family on their toes and a laugh that filled a room. Known affectionately as "Hon," she had a particular way of making those around her feel seen and cherished. She had an affinity for what her family lovingly dubbed “combat jewelry,” big hair, and a lifelong love of fashion. True to form, she brought style, grace, and a touch of sparkle wherever she went.

Patti is survived by her three daughters, Kendra Rothwell, Kerrie Wasinsky, and Kelly Coggeshall; her sister, Karen Rhew; six grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and many extended family members and friends who will carry her memory close.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Arthur Jennings Kelly and Mary Margaret Kelly; her husband, Kenneth Murrell Coggeshall; her brother, Billy Joe Kelly; and her sister, Sally Ann Riddle.

Feisty until the end, Patti's love, laughter, and vibrant spirit are woven into the lives of all who knew her. “Hon's babies” — and everyone lucky enough to know her — will miss her every day. 

Memorials: In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Samaritan’s Purse in Patti’s honor.
