Patsy Jean Cartwright

Patsy Jean Cartwright, 81, beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and friend passed away Tuesday, July 14, 2020 at her home.

 Graveside Service: 10 a.m. Saturday at Evergreen Cemetery in Lipan. 

Visitation: 6 – 8 p.m. Friday in White’s Chapel of Memories, 130 Houston Ave., Weatherford.

Patsy was born October 8, 1938 in Brownwood, daughter of Shellie Aubry Galloway and Louise Odell Thomas Galloway. She met the love of her life, Wylie Cartwright, Jr. on they were married May 21, 1953 in Brownwood. 

Patsy spent many years as a Baptist Pastor’s wife, serving the Lord in New Mexico, Texas, California and Nevada. She and Wylie had many happy years together raising their children and enjoying their grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Family and faith were her greatest joy and passion. Patsy will be deeply missed by all of the lives she touched. 

She was preceded in death by her husband of 63 1/3 years, Wylie Burr Cartwright, Jr. 

Survivors: Children, Mickey Lynn Inzer and husband, Robert, Wylie B. Cartwright, III and wife, Lynette, Jamie Leigh Goodman and husband, Michael, Lisa Kay Godin, and Jacqueline Paulette Guzman and husband, Chris Shore; 12 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; sister, Peggy June Galloway Hawkins; and many extended family members, church family and friends.
