Pat was born on September 27, 1947, in Benton Harbor, Michigan, daughter of Charles Lee and Callie Odella Montgomery. Very early on, her family moved to Marianna, Arkansas, where she spent most of her childhood. Her family called her Teka, but her school friends called her Patsy.
Pat was a strong and loving mother. She loved being a homemaker and taking care of her family. Her home was always immaculate, and she took great pride in being a good cook. Pat was well known for her Fried Chicken! Throughout her life, she had a passion for being outdoors. Even though she couldn’t swim, she loved the water. She loved to sing and often sang around the house, sometimes even singing specials at church. Pat had a creative nature and enjoyed making blankets for the grandkids. She loved to spoil them whenever she could by sneaking them extra cookies or ice cream. Her grandchildren and great-grandchildren brought life to her. She took on many names throughout her life, but some of her favorites were Grandma, Mema, and Pat Mommy. She was a friend to many and a stranger to none. No matter where she lived, she always made friends with the neighbors on her street. Pat loved people, and people loved her and her magnetic smile.
She was preceded in death by her first husband of 23 years, Daniel Jeremiah Goodman; second husband, Larry Ray Dingler; son, Timothy DeWayne Goodman; grandson, Colton Gage Goodman; six siblings, Charles L. Montgomery, Jr., Thomas O. Montgomery, William B. Montgomery, Mildred L. Watts, Arthur M. Montgomery, and Carolyn V. Walters; parents, Charles Lee and Callie O’Della Montgomery.
Pat is survived by three children, Melissa Ann Goodman (Angelica), James Clinton Goodman (Norma), and Michelle Renee Stefanik (Tony). Pat loved being a grandmother and is survived by six grandchildren who were incredibly close to her, Cheridan Renee Kirkpatrick, Daniel Reece Goodman, Morgan Shea Kirkpatrick, Ali John Eren, Yasemin Flores, and Baha Eren; as well as her great-granddaughter who was her “Little Sunshine,” Aubrianna Renee Flores. Pat had several other distant grandchildren and great-grandchildren who she treasured. Pat is also survived by her dear friend whom she claimed as her brother, Selahattin Eren, (Zuhal.)
Pat has a dear friend who owns Special Impressions Flower Shop in Weatherford, Texas, 817-776-8709, who can coordinate and deliver any flowers donations: https://www.specialimpressionsshop.com/.
However, if you would like to make a monetary donation in her memory, her church was very dear to her heart and would be appreciated, Center Point Baptist Church: https://centerpoint192.tithelysetup.com/give.
The family would like to express their sincere appreciation for all the love and support during this most difficult time.
