Norma Jean Goddard, 89, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Wednesday, January 13, 2021, after a brief illness. Graveside service: 2 p.m. Saturday, January 23, 2021 at Bethesda Cemetery, FM 113, Weatherford. Visitation: 6 – 8 p.m. Friday January 22, 2021 in White’s Chapel of Memories, 130 Houston Ave., Weatherford, TX Norma was born in her grandmothers’ home in Waco on September 9, 1931. She was the only child of Anthony Eugene Todar and Clara Lea Jones, who preceded her in death. Norma was a stay-at-home mother who delighted in her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great great-grandchildren. Everyone she met would hear her sweet story. Norma loved to crochet and gave out many baby throws. She also loved to paint and her paintings hang in many homes. “I was an only child, I prayed for a big family and God blessed me with five children, 18 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren. “ Norma was also preceded in death by her husband, George Goddard; and sister, Sharon Todar Deschaine. Norma leaves behind her blessed children, Jackie and Bill Robinson of Star Harbor, Dora Lea Bell of Springtown, Ruth Ann and Hubert McBride of Spring Branch, George Melton of Springtown and Vickie Lynn and Jack Briggle of Azle; 20 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; five great great-grandchildren; cousins, Victor and Pat Flatt, Barry and Carla Tobar, Paul Teichelmann, Karen Teichelmann Wallace, Sherrie Teichelmann, Donna Stapleman Teakall, and David Stapleton; along with many other special family members and dear friends.
