Naomi Tisdale Bullion Brown passed peacefully on August 17, 2020. She was born on April 16, 1931 in Weslaco Texas to Emmitt and Nellie Tisdale. Naomi was one of six children; Luther Tisdale, L.G. Tisdale, Clint Tisdale, Bonnie Simpson, and Charlie Tisdale. She was raised to the simple life of farming in the Rio Grande valley, where she was taught to love the Lord and to have a great work ethic. She is preceded in death by her parents Emmitt and Nellie Tisdale, sister Bonnie Simpson, brothers Luther and L.G. Tisdale, son Thomas Wayne Bullion, husband Reverend Samuel T Bullion, and husband James Brown. Naomi always had a great sense of humor with her siblings and family. Always playing a prank or joke and always starting a story with “this is a true story now.” Naomi graduated from Weslaco High School in 1949. Her diploma was signed by the late Texas Senator Lloyd Benson Junior. She was a beauty Queen and rode in a parade. At the tender age of 19, she packed up and moved to Los Angeles, California to attend L.I.F.E Bible College. While studying, she met a young man, Samuel T. Bullion. They fell in love at first sight and were married on February 17, 1952. After she graduated from Bible College, they were called to a church in Edinburg, Texas to start her life long passion in the ministry. After a short while they set out for Muskogee, Oklahoma to start a church with two phone numbers and the love of God. Once the church was established, they packed up and moved to Arlington, Texas where she would continue God’s work, starting another four churches in the DFW metroplex. They had a true calling to serve the Lord and it took them to many places and she impacted countless people. Naomi gave birth to five children Sandra Jean Snoddy, Thomas Wayne (Butch), Dennis Claude, Samuel Dale, and David Nelson Bullion. She was very musically inclined and played the piano with great passion (she taught each child to play a different instrument). She could work cattle, feed five kids, keep house, sew new Easter clothes, teach Sunday school, make Sunday roast dinners, help the kids with homework, and get ready for work the next week, all in a weekend! There are so many examples of how incredible she has been throughout her life, that it is hard to count. Naomi always tried to bring out the best in everyone. She could make each of us feel special. She always had a smile on her face, a hug to share, and a song in her heart. After the passing of Reverend S.T. Bullion, she started a new chapter of life and married James(Jim) Brown in 2011. He also had lost a spouse to cancer. They traveled, enjoyed each others company, and attended Northside Baptist Church where she was in charge of the monthly Sunday school parties. Jim passed in 2019. Life for Naomi was always centered on faith, family and fellowship. Naomi is survived by her daughter Sandra Jean (husband Dean) Snoddy, sons Dennis (wife Theresa) Bullion, Dale (wife Karen) Bullion, and David (wife Lisa) Bullion. Also surviving grand children; Brian Snoddy, Heather Rowlett, Danielle Williams , Crystal Baird, Jonathan Bullion, Shelby Bullion, Samuel Trent Bullion, great grand-children Logan Snoddy, Brandon Rowlett, Bryce Rowlett, Emma Williams, Ella Williams, Everly Williams, Adalyn Baird, Austin Baird. We all loved Naomi very much and will miss her dearly. She touched so many lives. Her humor, selflessness, compassion, and kindness will continue to inspire all who were lucky enough to have known her. As a tribute to her memory, Naomi would be honored if any donations made where to a friend or neighbor in need. She always loved to bless others.
