Mildred Anita Beard

Mildred Anita Beard, 95, loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend passed away Sunday, October 21, 2018.

 Funeral Service:  11 a.m. Wednesday, October 24, 2018 in White’s Chapel of Memories, 130 Houston Ave., Weatherford.

Burial:  Private 

Visitation:  9 – 11 a.m. Wednesday prior to the service.

Mildred was born April 7, 1923 in Weatherford, daughter of Lawrence and Christo Gainer Edwards. Thank you God for the comfort just knowing that our mother touched the lives of so many and gave them the gift of so many memories. The Beard family would like to give a special thanks to The College Park Rehabilitation and Care Center administrative staff and the 200 wing staff for their kindness, compassion and personal care for our dear mother; and to Envoy Hospice for their individual support and dignified care during her last few weeks. 

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Earl; brother, Sam; and sister, Mary.

Survivors:  Daughter, Barbara Gibson and husband Wendell; sons, Ted Beard and wife, Gert, and Eddie Beard and wife, Laurie; grandchildren, Bonnie Beard, Chuck Beard and wife, April, Jason Gibson, Wendy Farrell and husband, Eric, Matt Gibson and wife, Alissa, Adrie Beard, and Anita Beard; six great-grandchildren, and numerous extended family members and friends.
